You will learn: 

  • To develop and practice with effective tools for on line marketing and sales. 

  • To develop specific unique new innovation, by going through the innovation cycle. 

  • To develop a business plan for a small company related to your innovation. 

  • To analyse horse and rider performance, in order to advice specific target groups. 



Equine sports sector knowledge: performance, customer relationship, market analysis, sustainability, operational processes

Target groups* 

External: students with at least 2 year Bachelor education in Agriculture or Animal Husbandry  

Added value* 

This minor is offering you competence development to improve and innovate equine sports practices. Basic concepts are studied and applied immediately via real live case studies. You have to develop advices and reports to support farm management. Also you have to analyse sector issues in order to explore your own innovation in the sector. From this perspective you also have to write and submit a real business plan for your own innovative company within the equine sector.

Written tests for each module, as well as a project assignment for each module

Entry requirements VHL-students 

You have to study now in a Bachelor Animal Husbandry or comparable study program. 

Always you need to have at least 90 credits from your Bachelor program at the moment of registration and at least 120 credits to be able to start with the minor. 

Students need to be experienced in farm practices through a placement or other individual practical animal husbandry assignments.
